Breast Cancer Risk Linked To Red Meat, Study Finds

Younger women who regularly eat red meat appear to face an increased risk for a common form of breast cancer, according to a large, well-known Harvard study of women's health.

The study of more than 90,000 women found that the more red meat the women consumed in their 20s, 30s and 40s, the greater their risk for developing breast cancer fueled by hormones in the next 12 years. Those who consumed the most red meat had nearly twice the risk of those who ate red meat infrequently.

it s very crazy in deed...not the research but probably your doctor :)
No, but really, if you see a Natraupathic doctor, you can get Iron from other sources. Friend of mine was having same issue and she is Ok now without relying on any meat. I am vegetarian for over 6 years now and I am perfectly fine. In fact I used to have some cholesterol and other issues which were gone after I switched off the meat thing..

I talked to my friend Yasmin who had Iron deficiency. She told me she had this problem when she was on Atkins diet. But here is the quote from her email:
"
My iron deficiency was worst while I was on Atkins, eating tons of meats. Now that I am vegetarian I have no problems. I did take a natural source iron from a health food store for a while during the transition. Meats have iron but its not in a form easily absorbable by the body. Spinach & prunes are best.

Thx Mone for the informations I really appreciate it :P and I already started digging about this topic.
Actually my deficiency is being treated now by pills and intraveinous shots cause even with healthy food, either meat or vegetables, it's not getting better.
Am gonna ask my professor about it (breast cancer and red meat)next week, and I'll keep you updated :)
